The Speaking Day celebrating Valentine’s Day was held on 21 February 2024. Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in vocabulary learning as well as the learning of useful tips on keeping long-lasting relationships with their love ones (partner, family, friends, teachers, etc.)

In the morning, there was a sharing on Valentine’s Day idioms and a morning reading session through LoiloNote. During recesses, there were speaking activities with English teachers and Student Ambassadors, in which students have to share their thoughts on some meaningful prompts. The love potion making workshop during lunchtime allowed students to showcase their creativity while learning about the steps of making an oil-and-water ‘love potion’. Students were allowed to take their masterpieces home and gift them to their love ones.

All in all, the speaking day was not only for language learning but it was also a time for students to spread love and kindness to their love ones.
