Moon Festival Celebration

The English Department organized the Moon Festival Celebration on 30 September. The Storytelling and Legends related to the Moon Festival in the morning assembly sparked students’ imagination and fostered a deeper understanding of the festival’s original. Junior form students shared enthusiastically with the English Ambassadors their plan for celebrating the Moon Festival. Form 2 students participated in a lantern-making workshop, where they created their own patterns using various materials like paper and wire. Adding to the festive ambiance, students had the opportunity to taste different types of mooncakes and learned about the significance of mooncakes and their role in the festival. In addition to gaining a deeper appreciation for Chinese traditions, students read the assigned article and learned about how people in other Asian countries celebrate and cherish the Moon Festival.
